Puget Sound Doberman Pinscher Club (PSDPC) supports the efforts of Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue and the National DPCA Rescue (formerly known as COPE) Some PSDPC members have independent rescue efforts. Through education, careful breeding, and placing of puppies, the numbers of unwanted Doberman Pinschers continues to decline. Working closely with area animal shelters and private individuals, Puget Sound area Doberman Pinscher rescues attempt to place dogs into new permanent homes by carefully screening adoption applicants. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and contained by a fenced yard. Some exceptions may be made, but the intent is that the dogs find new responsible homes who will provide them with the love and care they deserve.
