Puget Sound Doberman Pinscher Club (PSDPC) is open to all persons 18 years of age and older who are in good standing with the The American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purpose and mission of PSDPC.
Before applying for membership, individuals should plan to attend as many meetings as possible to get to know the club in general and its members. Sponsorship of two PSDPC members is required with the submission of the membership application. Once an application is submitted to the club, a reading of the application is done at the next general membership meeting and the applicant is encouraged to attend. A second reading is done at the following general membership meeting and after any discussion, a vote is made on membership.
Regular membership meetings of the Club serve a number of purposes: to conduct club business (plan events, approve board recommendations, etc.), Doberman education (presentation of interest to Doberman owners) and to socialize. Guests are welcome at most meetings.
Regular or active membership-Open to all persons over 18 years of age. Allows for voting privileges. More information about membership pay be obtained when attending a meeting and or obtaining a copy of the PSDPC Bylaws. See the links below.
Junior membership is available to the children, under age 18, of PSDPC members. Junior members are non voting, cannot hold office or chair a committee. All other membership privileges are enjoyed.
Associate membership – Open to all persons over 18 years of age who otherwise meet the requirements for active membership. Associate members shall pay dues and are entitled to all club privileges except voting and office holding (offered to individuals who live outside of the club’s area; also offered to individuals who live in the club’s area but are not active). Because they are ineligible to vote, Associate Members will not count as part of the quorum and Associate Members shall not engage in discussion of a motion on the floor.
PSDPC general club meetings are usually held the second Monday of every other month at 7:30PM in the greater Puget Sound, WA area. General meetings: January, March, May, July, September and November._
PSDPC Board meetings are held to sort out the internal workings and processes of the club in order to make recommendations to the general membership. Members are welcome to attend.
